The weekend has arrived! We’ve been busy searching high and low for London’s best pizza joints, and we’ve come up with a pretty solid list for you to work your way through. Let us know your favourites too!

Lan-airlines

      1. Homeslice (Shoreditch, Fitzrovia, Covent Garden)

Homeslice takes the number one spot, not only because of how good the pizza tastes, but because the pizzas are HUGE (20 inches) and they serve wine in magnums. So yes, giant versions of our favourite things. Ideal for sharing with friends or for those with a smaller appetite pizza can be ordered by the slice. Alongside the classics some toppings are inventive with combinations like haggis with leek, potatoes and charred radicchio or aubergine, cauliflower cheese, spinach and harissa.

      2. Pizza Pilgrims (Soho, Clerkenwell)

Started out of a three wheeled foodtruck Pizza Pilgrims brings authentic Neapolitan pizza to London. On a whim the Elliot brothers actually toured Italy in said van and immersed themselves in the food and culture, learning tips and techniques along the way. So you know you’re getting the real deal here. PP also has some very tempting side dishes including deep fried Italian mac’n’cheese and little deep fried calzones which shouldn’t be missed.

      3. Pizza East (Shoreditch, Notting Hill, Kentish Town)

The original Pizza East is set in Shoreditch’s tea building its surroundings really make it stand out from the other contenders. Plenty of industrial decor, exposed brick and concrete, hipsters and city slickers. They have a nice selection of wood-oven cooked, non-pizza options, however we are all about the pizza and the all-important dough here is the perfect balance between crisp and elastic. It’s the perfect place to whittle an evening away watching the world go by.

4. Franco Manca (20 branches across London)

Next it’s the ones who made sourdough mainstream! High quality local ingredients matched with the flavourful slow-rise sourdough crust make for the perfect pizza. Prices start at just £5.95 and there’s a veg special and meat special on offer every day if you fancy something different. Franco Mancas are popping up all over the city so if you haven’t been get it on the bucket list.

      5. Goppa’ Pizzeria (Homerton)

Goppa pizzas have in fact been described as “the best pizza in London” and was at one point rated number one on Tripadvisor. If you are a sufferer of food envy this is the place for you since you can order a selection mini pizzas. There’s a real neighbourhood vibe in Goppa and it’s steadily growing a loyal following in the East to rival the rest of the list!
