Mobile World Congress kicks off with Nokia announcement
One of our top tech cities Barcelona is kicking off the Mobile World Congress (MWC) covering all the latest in tech, smartphones and tech buzzwords VR and AR. However, what’s really caught our eye though is the comeback of the Nokia 3310!
Millennial’s rejoice for the iconic, indestructible, snake playing handset that was the pinnacle of youth for many is making a much-wanted comeback. Originally released in 2000 it was in many ways the beginning of modern age mobiles. Techno ringtones, solid battery life and the most loved games such as Snake and Space Impact made this the the desired possession of any teen.
But as modern technology flourished and unable to keep up with the likes of the iPhone and Android handsets Nokia struggled to find its place in the current marketplace and was subsequently sold to Microsoft. Until now, with reports circulating the web that HMD Global Oy is expected to announce the arrival of four new Nokia phones later this month. According to reports the phone will cost around €59 and will be available in both Europe and North America.
So if it’s a trip down memory lane you’re after or simply want a digital detox from your iPhone then the new Nokia could be just the answer, and we can’t wait to see what the new handset looks like, we just hope it has all the timeless features we so know and love!
